I’m what you would call an anti-diet and food freedom dietitian. I don’t believe in fad diets and quick fixes. I do believe that all foods fit and there’s room in your diet for all your favorites - including foods you may have been previously told are off limits.
Nutrition has always been a part of me. Even as a little kid packing my snacks for swim meets, I knew that good nutrition made me feel my best! I’ve always had a really healthy relationship with food and it was a shock to me when I started coaching clients that this wasn’t always the case for people.
I knew I needed to change that. I shifted away from counseling people on how to lose weight to coaching people to listen to their bodies, how to be more mindful, satisfied eaters, and to eat bread again! Yes…bread is 100% allowed in your diet! I became a food freedom dietitian to help people like you find a balanced and simple relationship with food - listen to your body, eat good and you'll feel good. It's that simple!
Listen, I know that the food freedom approach to life works because I’m proof. I eat the foods I want and maintain a weight that feels good to me. I’ve never counted calories or points and am able to go out to eat with my girlfriends free from stress and guilty. I sleep well and have energy throughout the day. I enjoy chocolate and wine and pizza regularly. I love my body and feel confident in my clothes and in myself.
I’ve seen the same for so many of my clients and that’s why I stand behind the fact the diets don’t work.
